Chestnut Hill Reservoir Community Garden Advisory Committee
The Advisory Committee (AC) is a volunteer committee that collectively manages the operations of the garden. As vacancies occur, all members of the gardening community are invited to apply to join. Please inform the AC of any concerns or suggestions you may have for the garden. The AC meets each month and will be happy to add items to the agenda. Please email us at CHRCGAC@gmail.com

The AC has the following responsibilities:

Establish guidelines for the safe and successful operation of the community garden

Maintain timely communication with community garden members

Collect dues and security deposits

Pay community garden bills Hire professionals necessary to maintain community garden infrastructure

Make decisions on the purchase of new and/or replacement tools and equipment Assign plots to new members as well as existing members who wish to move

Evaluate applications from prospective gardeners Monitor compliance with the community garden rules and regulations

Supervise the general upkeep of the community garden Mediate disputes between gardeners

Coordinate community garden upkeep with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation including scheduling clean-up days

Help foster good relations with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and community garden neighbors
